In 2015, the project of the National Center for Research and Development PBS1/B8/1/2012 was completed, the beneficiaries of which were: the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Jerzy Duszyński’s Laboratory and Adam Szewczyk’s Laboratory) and the Dr Irena Eris Science and Research Center. The results obtained as part of the project were published, among others, in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Biochemical Journal. The results of the project were the basis for the introduction of a new dermo-cosmetic from the Pharmaceris-V series in 2016 and later few others.

The products are recommended for adults and children for daily protection and care, evening out the skin tone in patients with vitiligo and de-pigmentation lesions (www.pharmaceris.com). Additionally, the project led to the introduction of the AUTHORITY series of cosmetics by Dr Irena Eris to the market, which were awarded in 2019 in the „Excellence of the Year” competition of the Twoja STYL magazine.

On March 12, 2018, the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland granted patent No. P.416041 for the invention titled „The use of naringenin and a preparation containing naringenin and a method of slowing down, counteracting and preventing the process of formation of vitiligo spots of the skin.” The owner of this patent is the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dr Irena Eris Cosmetics Laboratory. The authors of the invention from the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences are: Jerzy Duszyński, Joanna Szczepanowska, Adam Szewczyk, Mariusz Więckowski and Piotr Bednarczyk (SGGW).
