The beneficiaries of the Polish Children’s Fund in our laboratory!

On March 19th, once again, we hosted the beneficiaries of the Polish Children’s Fund in our Laboratory. This is an association that gathers scientists, educators, artists, researchers, and students convinced that the development of young people’s talents and passions is important for the whole society. The Fund organizes free workshops, camps, scientific internships, concerts, and exhibitions for the most talented students from all over Poland. This year, as part of the workshops conducted in our Laboratory, pupils were introduced to research techniques used in our work. Pupils had the opportunity to learn about the patch-clamp technique used for the electrophysiological recording of ion channels. Additionally, we attempted to observe mitochondria in mammalian cells using fluorescence microscopy.
