The 15th Annual WMS Meeting on Targeting Mitochondria, held October 29-31, 2024 in Berlin, Germany. 112 presentations presented innovative research and advances in mitochondrial science to 151 attendees from 41 countries. Poland was represented by 4 attendees from 3 different laboratories. The Intracellular Ion Channels Lab from the Nencki Institute was represented by Dr. Monika Żochowska, who presented a poster entitled DOES BKCa CHANNEL AFFECT SENESCENCE – MITOCHONDRIAL CONNECTION? The conference consisted of 2 parts: Mitochondria Workshop 2024 entitled How to Evaluate Mitochondria Function? – led by Naïg Gueguen from the Mitovasc Institute, France, and a two-day conference covering topics such as ”Mitochondrial Dynamics”, ,,Mitochondrial Medicine”, ,,Emerging Trends and Strategies in Mitochondria Research”.
