Aleksandra Stefanowska PhD defense

On January 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the public defense of Engineer Aleksandra Stefanowska’s doctoral thesis unfolded in the distinguished setting of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Hall, situated within the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw, 1 Pasteur Street, Warsaw.

The thesis, titled „Investigations of the Electrochemical Properties of the Mitochondrial Potassium Channel ROMK2 Reconstituted in Black Lipid Membranes and Lipid Bilayers Formed on a Solid Substrate,” was presented.

Supervision for the research was provided by Prof. Paweł Krysiński (University of Warsaw) and Prof. Dr. Adam Szewczyk (Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences) (see photo). The distinguished panel of reviewers included Prof. Hanna Jańska (University of Wrocław), Prof. Sławomir Kalinowski (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn), and Prof. Aneta Petelska (University of Białystok).
